Manny is a 'battered husband' of Laila a distrubed rich mining engineer. Manny loves Laila despite the psychological and physical abuse he is undergoing with his neurotic and domineering wife. But Laila is loving and thoughtful during her sane moment. Manny tolerates his wife abuses because he loves her and depends financially on her. Laila is so jealous with Manny because she caught her once with another woman.
